Take a moment to relax at Pitaloka. A white colonial house on Jalan Batur Sari, a courtyard under one tree, and a kitchen that cooks from Eastern to Western. Open every day.
Pitaloka sits in a white colonial house a few streets back from Sanur beach. Arches run along the ground floor, white iron chairs stand under the tree in the courtyard, and the upper arcade catches the afternoon breeze. The kitchen works the same way the house does: Indonesian and Balinese plates next to Western ones, cooked simply and served without hurry.
Pick where you sit. The courtyard, under the tree and the white lamps, is best in the morning and after sunset. The arcade on the first floor stays shaded all day. The inside rooms, with teak doors and tiled floors, are the quiet choice and the dry one when the rain comes.
Birthdays, engagements, company dinners and small weddings. The courtyard seats a long table, the rooms upstairs take a closed group, and the kitchen will set a menu with you.
